Join Janna in her upcoming skill-share installation

Why is a Rock?
Sunday October 19th
Tompkins Square Park
at the corner of Ave A and 7th Street, NYC
12pm-2pm

This is a FREE event.  Just bring yourself.

In my current art practice I am exploring the interplay between people and stuff (well, objects).  While exploring the platform of learning through human interaction I am interested in the perceived purposes of objects versus the actual role they play in the duration of their life-span.  Join me in a fun activity: embroidery.  Learn (or share) introductory embroidery techniques, using my indigo stenciled silk yardage as a base, and perhaps talk about what rocks can do besides act as tools for stenciling on silk.  Really, no pressure to be profound here - hence the facetious/playful title.  If you've ever walked past a rock wall, or your dad is a stonemason like mine, you are welcome.  It's really just a time to hang and chat with new friends.
